Our production of Seussical was put on by the "Circus McGurkus"- a traveling group of circus actors. In my makeup and hair design, I aimed to blend the world between original Dr. Seuss cartoon with the traveling circus environment. I wanted to implement unique shapes and silhouettes into the hair and makeup. I wanted it to seem as though each actor customized their hair and makeup to match the characters they put on that day. My goal was to emphasize ways to style actor's natural hair within the world, limiting the number of wigs required.
